Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan

Another great day! Sailed another two hours on Lake Lansing. Same rig as Wednesday (RRD 110 FSW& Ezzy 6.9 wave) The wind was a little stronger and more consistent.

Greg and Mark were out with a 6.4 and 6.9 respectively. Mark didn’t believe me when I told him it was windy (his house was in the wind shadow) so he was on the Pro-Tech

Z-28. He looked like a bronco rider in the gusty winds: he would go from zero to balls out and back to zero two or three times a reach. Luckily most of the rides were more than 8 seconds.

Greg was smoking in the gusts, he weighs about a buck and a quarter so it was all he could do to hold the sail down. It’s amazing he’s only been sailing a couple years.

The air was 75’ but the water is still in the high 40’s: my feet froze and my torso was sweating in the 3/2 steamer.

More wind forecast tomorrow & Easter I hope I can get out!!
