Foot dragging and Lolly gagging paid off for those who didn't make it out until mid afternoon Sunday 10/3. Especially good from 3 PM to almost 5 PM, steady direct on shore winds, really nice swells, and an occasional ray of sun combined to make it worthwhile to venture out into the chilly temps. So nice to have long runs parallel to the beach with a shallow sandy bottom on a cool day. The afternoon crew had about 8 windsurfers and an equivalent number of kiters. Guys mostly on 5.5's and I was on 4.0. Topped off with a warm fire and pork sandwiches courtesy of Jeff Brown.... all in all a good day.
My hat's off to you guys! the spirit was willing but the flesh was weak. Ann and I did a bike ride tonigth for an hour and at 55 deg F my hands were still cold. I am like Brian when it comes to that, my hands are my weak point and I haven't found a pair of gloves that work for me yet. Other than those yellow latex dish gloves if I can keep them on at least seem to help. Sounds like you guys had a great session though! I think you may be more Canadian than we are. I guess we are south of you!!
