Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan

Annabel and Brooke got out tonight. She on a 6.5 and Brooke at first on the same, but later on a 12M kite. They said they were not very well ;powered though. My foot is too messed to sail for a bit yet. We could see some people around Patterson Park area sailing

Wow, the water looks dead flat for 6.5 conditions!
Yes Ann is an efficient sailor. I have seen her go out and start planing and people on the beach suddenly start rigging furiously to get out only to find themselves slogging around. I do think she gets a kick out of it at times. I forwarded your letter to Bruce at silent sports as well as Pete Dekay, hopefully we can get some advertiser backing for your blog. Let me know how it goes.
We got out last night on St. Claire for about an hour and a half. Brooke, Ann, and myself. First one for me since I messed up my foot. Brooke sailed a 6.5 as did I and Ann on a 6.0. the wind being westerly was typically gusty, but when it filled in it was a blast. Ann outjumped us both last night owing to the fact that Brooke's back is messed and my foot is still very tender. Ramps for port side jumps were about as tempting as they could be, and while Brooke and I were carving our way around the peaks, Ann was taking them full on and getting some nice air. As we packed up she said something that was very true, " too bad we never get the steady winds that Rondeau gets but the jumping ramps of St. Claire". Yes that would be the ultimate.
Right now it is looking as if the next big day might be Thursday with winds bolowing a bit steadier out of a more Northerly direction around supper time.
Sheesh Don, sorry about your foot. That can be painful.
Once per year, jeannie steps on or kicks my big toe hard enough that I lose a toe nail. It takes about 14 months for my big toe nail to completely regrow, so I never have two big toe nails at the same time!
I have to have healed by this thursday,,, it sounds like there is huge wind coming,, At least the swelling has gone down to the point where my foot will fit in a foot strap again. ps I bought some wai-wai pads, better late than never.
