Here is the scene on Sunday afternoon around 4:30 as everyone is packing up to come home. Great day as we began on 5.5 and 5.0 I on 85 ltr carve and Annabel on 92 ltr blast. Later the wind popped off a bit and I re rigged a 6.0 and 100 ltr board, Annabel went back with my 5.5 and her 92 again and we sailed till around 4 pm. I haven't seen that many people show up in a long time, very encouraging as there were some very serious newbies with newly purchased equipment as well.

Don,
Tom J. told us that there were 14 windsurfers rigged and waiting at Metro Beach on Sunday . . .and waiting . . . and waiting. You guys are getting the wind this summer!
Thought it was going to go today but alas, not so. thought of doing Kettle Point today but after some problems with I windsurf.com forecast this morning and hearing the fact tyhat it was going to lull in the afternoon and facing a 2 hour drive to KP to sail in big waves with a 7.5 somehow I lost some motivation. I did get out here this morning on St. Clair with a 6.5 for about 2 hours (Yechhh back in a full suit air temp 58 Deg) Got in around 7 am sailed solid till 8 then it started to back off and was almost gone by 9 or so. I could really dig another 3 houras powered up. The Norths have been pretty crappy this year so far, hopefully there is better things to come.

ps St. Clair hit around 28 mph wind around 2 am last night. wah!!!
I stayed home this morning hoping to catch something. I think maybe a formula board and an Evinrude would do it.
How devastating??? What hurts the worst is on \ another day when it's honking you can't go!!

ps the wave Jam is a gas. We were there last year foir some of Andy's Loop lessons at the shop
Well it's now 8 am and Ann and I are packed up and headed to Rondeau for the day. Forecast looks at this point to be bigger gear,, 7.5,, 6.5 but that trumps rollerblading. We will be walking south once in the water to a weed free area (I hope) south of the main launch area. Nights are rapidly getting darker earlkier and earlier. Hopefully Hurricane Earl brings us some real wind on St. Clair during the early part of next week.
Hmmm, iwindsurf is sure not showing anything. Let us know.

Might be a good day at Sturgeon Bay though?
Good day to rollerblade. Didn't make it much above 12 or 13 mph. Oh well away from home r&r is nice sometimes, and getting cought up with other wind hopefulls.
