Michigan Windsurfing

Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan

We managed to get out here on St. Clair this past Saturday NW blows here tend to be gusty but since we are all windstarved warriors, we'll take it! Ann and I were out by 9 am, rigged and in water by 9:30. We were soon followed by Les from Strathroy, of course Brooke and soon afterward, Bernie, Richard, RJ, Windel. Good turn out there! I riggged my 6.5 ventured out and was surprised to find, for me in the gusty conditions it was working just fine! Oddly though as we ventured far out into the lake the waves got larger and larger somewhat out of proportion to the wind I would say, Possibly as much as three footers but at times confused directions, making for tough inital jibing conditions. Some hugely overpowered runs but some badly underpowered ones as well. Nevertheless theraputic to say the least. Check out our end of day pics, around 3pm.

Don,

You can thank us.  We had a wedding to go to and couldn't sail.  Geesh, the sacrifices we make!
