Michigan Windsurfing

Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan

I got two of the things I wished for in my last session report.  Most importantly, there was no hail to contend with today!  Also, the wind on Lake Lansing was much steadier, WSW at around 15 knots or so (more than enough to consistently plane on a 6.3 sail and 100 liter board).  However, even though it was sunny, I still felt the need to stick with the dry suit.  On the plus side, the dry suit kept me toasty warm all session.

While packing up, I was approached by a kite surfer who really wanted to chat.  Normally, I love BSing at the beach, especially after a fun session.  Under the current circumstances, however, I just tried my best to shoo her away.  I agree with Brian that windsurfing is good for the soul, but I now realize that windsurfing is just not going to be the same for a while...
