Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan
Arrived about 12:30 just after the rain slid by, sorry to have missed you Tom but I think you really did get the best of that day. At any rate First off, I would like to say what a great bunch you guys are sailing with. On my arrival they briefed me on things to watch for as I have never before sailed at Metro Beach, Also in passing I would also like to thank Metro Park for allowing us to enter at such a low rate, $5.00/vehicle is much easier to swallow than our Canadian Ontario Parks entrance fee of $13.00/visit. I rigged up a 5.5 and launched and on my first run found I wished I had rigged my trusty Hucker 6.6, but shortly thereafter the wind began cranking in and at points as I pinched out a bit offshore I even found in some of the gusts I was slighly overpowered. Great day all in all, about a 2 1/2 to 3 hour session. A little weird as on our side of the pond we sail almost always on port tack. the chop took a little time to get the timeing down, but I will definately be back! Lots of broad smiles when returning to shore, as I think a good time was had by all!! Thanks again guys for your guidance!
