Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan
Got out again at Rondeau yesterday afternoon from about 2 till 5. I was sitting at home and hardly a breath of wind on checking I windsurf.com Erieau was reporting 30K gusting 35 arond noon, so off to find some wind. Upon arrival it was only blowing around 12 mph so it was time to do some gear re-organizing. I rigged a 7.5 and my blast and finally around 2 things started looking promising. Ryan showed up around that time and I hit the water and had three or four very powered up runs, and then a lull and then more powered up sailing and yet another lull. so it went till around 5pm and we both packed it in and I decided to come home and make supper. On arrival home it was blowing strong West on St. Clair as well but looking at the graph the next morning looked very, very gusty as well.
I was out this afternoon for an hour but it was very off and on again and more off than on, still better than going for a jog I guess.
Saturday's forecast for Rondeau at this reading is looking quite promising. So many weekends without wind,, and I am terrified to make any commitments just in case this might be the big one. How pathetic is that??
