FYI - a popular sailing spot near East Bloomfield is Cass Lake. In normal times, an annual spring swap meet is held there. That event is an opportunity to meet other sailors and check out the launch. For other sailing sites, look for the list maintained here on MIwindsurfing. IMHO, that list has a SE Michigan bias, but that should work in your favor. My first day on the water in MI last year was early April. If this year is similar, that’s less than a month away!
