Windsurf Rentals in MI?

I get this question a lot, so I thought I should put it out there.   Does anyone know of a place to rent/borrow windsurfing gear in MI?  Two or three people, who will be vacationing in the TC area, want to rent equipment.  Can anyone help?

The lack of rental gear certainly is not helping our sport.

Getting Ready for the Season

The off-season/pre-season is a great time to work on skills, especially in a place like Bonaire, with the ABK BoardSports team. Andy Brandt and the guys are really awesome at helping everyone from beginner to advanced freestyler. If you ever have the chance to take an ABK clinic, I think you'll find it a good investment in your windsurfing future.…

11-foot waves kick off fall in Chicago, a windsurfer's favorite season

Anyone know these guys?

Finding his groove

When Gregory Page arrived at the beach Tuesday, the sky was a dreary gray, northerly winds flew flags straight and towering waves crashed near shore, stirring up white waters like a Jacuzzi.

It was perfect.

"The wind is really, really strong and the waves are some of the biggest I've seen in 10 years," said Page, 58, of Evanston. "It's really fun out there. I've been sailing 20 years, and this is my…

Queen of the Cape

Congrat's to Pam Levy who was crowned Queen of the Cape at the East Coast Windsurfing Festival.  Pam carries as much stoke as anyone I know.

windsurfing lessons in northern Michigan

Hey guys,
I've been learning how to windsurf in nanjing, China for not quite 6 months now and, being there's a language barrier, I've hit a point where I don't know how to further improve. So,I come back to traverse city every summer and was hoping you all could lead me to some windsurfing lessons when I come home. I don't have any equipment, as I've been renting from the sailing club here in China. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Gone Boarding!

Check out this high school course at Forest Hills Eastern, in Ada, MI.  In Gone Boarding students learn to surf, long board, paddle board, snowboard. While also learning how to make a surf board and ski's or a snowboard.

Might not be college prep, but sure looks like fun.

East Coast Windsurfing Festival - Congrat's to Pam Levy

According to The Windsurf Loop blog, Michigan's own Pam Levy did the Mitt proud at the ECWF - Cape Cod, by taking second place in the Women's Freestyle division.  Pam's become an ABK devotee (not Pam's words) and I guess it's paid-off.  Congrat's Pam!
