Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan
The Grosse Pointe Windsurfing Club is hosting their annual Regatta at Patterson Park in Grosse Pointe. The event is tomorrow, Saturday June 15th - just in time for Father's Day!
The winds are expected to be light, but should be good for the long boards and maybe even the formula boards.

One of the Fathers of Windsurfing, and certainly an influence in Standup Paddleboarding design.
From the Starboard Site:
In memory of Jim Drake
"Jim Drake changed the lives of millions of people and will continue to do so.
Windsurfing has made people experience the wind, waves and water in new ways.

I just got back from Hatteras to see that the 2016 Olympic Committee really screwed up. There are so many people that have given so much time and money to train and prepare for the Olympics. Gear has been developed. Training centers and programs are in place. It's really a shame to remove windsurfing. It's not too late. Please check out this site and sign the petition:…Continue
