Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan

Hi,

I am in a small town in the southwestern corner of the state.  I stored my windsurfers in the dune by the beach.  I have done so for 20 years.

Someone came by, and stole three boards, three booms and at least two masts.  Two were old, novice Bic boards, although one was a short board.

But why?  It was an effort for someone to take these.  What can they possibly do with them?  I have checked ebay, craig's list and various pages looking to see if anyone is selling them, but no luck.  What could someone possibly do with them?

Any ideas?

KIDS.

Welcome to the future.

Thanks for your thought.  But it makes no sense.  Where these boards were, there were also a number of kayaks and paddle boards.  The only thing taken were the windsurfing boards, booms and masts.  If it were kids doing a prank, why would they take just the windsurfing equipment?  What could they do with it?  Still baffles me.  And you have to understand.  Where these were, it was a big effort to remove them.

Jeff,

Could it be that someone just thought they were abandoned? Maybe they've seen them there for a long time.  I wonder if there are any local Facebook groups where you could post.
