Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan

Had a great wave session this evening in Caseville.   I was on a 6.5m2 (200#), but the waves were big and fun, and who'd complain after a summer like this one.

Good to hear everyone is finally getting it. Last 2 weeks of August have been productive for most of us.

Got a session here in Empire Saturday, rare side shore North wind and swell.

Looks like L.Huron is in for more today  - have fun!

Yeah, Tom, glad you got some too.  Should have been great conditions up there.

We had another great session here today (Sunday).

One of the steadiest days I have seen on St. Clair in a long time. Lots of windsurfers in attendance were Les Squires. Bernie Pepin, Dan Stronk, Chris Trudell, Richard Shirley, Lucie Assaline, Brooke Murray, Bill Britton, Greg Pare,  Annabel and myself as well as a twp kiters.  We were in the water at 9:30 am and out at 4pm but the wind continued to blow until dark here. I was on a 6.0  and 100 litres, overpowered at points burt loving it,, most were in that range from 5.5 to 6.0. A few came back to our place and hit the hot tub and cocktails afterwords. Great day all in all. Bed by 9pm

Wow, you guys really scored.  We just sailed for a couple hours in the early afternoon.  I was on a 6.5, Jeannie on a 4.5 and Dan and Lori on 5.8 and 5.2.  We could have sailed all day on bigger gear, but came in when it got too light for the stuff we were on.  We sailed in front of Dan and Lori's house, where the waves were more like big rollers than breaking waves - very fun stuff.

Sounds great though!!!

I finally put some video together from the Caseville weekend.  The video is not too exciting, and the GoPro wide-angle seems to really flatten out the waves, but at least it gives one the feeling of sailing there.
