And we are right across the road from Don.

Anyone from the Michigan crew play guitar and up for an evening jam session or two?  If so, make sure you bring it.

Here's another page of sites I just came across:  http://www.windvisions.com/Hatteras/hatteras_launches.html

Dave,

I'm assuming you mean sound-side launches.  I don't know the launches on the south side of Avon, but you can check Andy McKinney's site and his store for info: http://wind-nc.com/hatteras-windsurfing-guide/

I like the Salvo Day Use area, up near the Salvo/Waves/Rodanthe area.  It's got nice bathrooms/changing area and some outside showers.

I'll be at the south end of Avon 4/13-4/20; however, I've not been to Hatteras for a decade. I understand that our old launch at the end of Park St. has been shut down, so I'm curious to hear where people are launching from these days, other than Canadian Hole, that is.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes we use everything, I windsurf, windalert, windgaru, and as much optimism and prayer as possible!!! Even Pagan ritualism if we thought it might help!! So far Aeolus has smiled upon us,,, knock on wood errr or carbon!!

Jim, I've always used Iwindsurf. Probably now I'll use windalert. It's always been pretty good except for those surprise afternoon sessions.

Hi Don and Brian,  Do you have a favorite web site for wind forecasts for Cape Hatteras?  I have used Windguru and Wind Alert that have been pretty good. Just curious.
