Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan

We'll be visiting from out of state for a week+ at the end of the month. I grew up in Michigan, in fact I first learned to windsurf at Lake Lansing nearly 30 years ago! Now my teen son has really taken to it.

Does anyone know of a place around lower-mid Michigan where you can rent intermediate level gear? Preferably near or at a location where there is good sailing? Saugatuck? Holland? The only place I could find via google is in Torch Lake, which is a little too far for a day trip from East Lansing.

I live in Hudsonville and Torch Lake is the closest that I could find. They are super friendly and very accommodating if you would ever want to get up that far. They live on the North end of Torch Lake and it is absolutely beautiful there...

There are SUP rentals on Lake Macatawa across from Holland State Park overflow if you want to try that. Granted, not as exciting...
