Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good weed fin that also provides early planing and upwind stability.

True Ames are good. Just make sure you get one with the fin offset forward of the box.

Thanks Dave. I have the 'blade weed' and the 'surf grass'. The blade weed sheds weeds better, but I like the surf grass better on my small, higher wind boards.

If they are greenish, then they are probably G-10 material.
Some people sand them and some people just ignore the minor stuff.
I fill chips and dings with epoxy and wet sand back to the original profile. Minor scratches at the tip of the fin I usually don't bother with unless I'm jonesing during the off-season.
