No worries. I probably would not have gone that day because it looked like no chance of safe sailing. I did go camping with my son and mountain biked, kayaked and even windsurfed. It was light but I got some sweet planning runs with my 8.0. Was racing a kite foiler. When planing I was faster. The lake was so smooth. No chop. Can't wait to go on a windy day. I will let you know if I go down again. No wind in the forecast.
I apologize for not letting you know of our plans, Randy. My only explanation is that I thought there was a good chance we would get skunked. I even brought my mountain bike as a "plan B" if there was no wind. Instead, I had to defer mountain biking till the following day, when I rode the Yankee Springs trail near to Gun Lake. BTW, did you ever organize a Gun Lake get-together? If you do, I would like to join in (and maybe include riding Yankee Springs either before or after sailing).
I know of at least 12 people who have windsurfed on Hamlin this summer, including USA 17.
Sounds like I missed the party! I didn't even sail because of the storms and there was no wind in Whitehall. Glad you got a good session in. Didn't know anyone sailed Hamlin anymore. Fun place to sail!
