Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan
Sorry for the lame rant, but I'm going nuts. I need help!!! I want WIND. I have not seen winds greater than 13 mph in over 5 weeks!!!! (Unless you count the 30 mph winds during a storm that lasted 10 min) Is anyone sailing on a plane ANYWHERE in the state of Michigan???? If so WHERE!!!

Keep your eye to the sky this Thursday & Friday. There is a chance of WIND!!
Yeah, we're all starved. Looks like we might finally get something!
Lake Lansing delivered on Friday. Larry (5.6), Lars (6.5) and Lisa (5.3) sailed from 5-7.
The high point for me was when a pontoon came by to check out the action, and I pulled off a video-worthy Vulcan just feet in front - lots of slide, trying to make it look like the standard way to change tacks. Lars was doing his own freestyle, duck-jibing his big sail.
After the wind calmed a bit, the Lansing sailing club went out for a sail under the blue moon. I went over to the Lake Lansing park for the Friday night concert.
It looks like the wind may continue for the next couple days...
We had morning, afternoon and evening sessions at Caseville. After no wind for me all summer, I am beat.
After my complaint rant, the skies opened and delivered serious wind. I sailed in Northern MI on Thursday, Mullet Lake, 90L & 5.8 for 3.5 hours. DEEEEELightful. Then Friday at Lake Lansing, 90L & 6.3, then Sunday, today, 90L 5.8 for almost 4 hours. Oh the pain, I love it. It feels so good to use those windsurfing muscles again. I hope you all made the most of the wind. Cheers.
