Once a Michigander, always a Michigander. I grew up right on Lake Michigan about 1 mile north of the Holland pier. I taught windsurfing for the Surf Shop in Holland. I started windsurfing in 1980.

My biggest board is a mistral explosion 130 L that's been sittin in my garage not used in 10 years in primo condition; that's a keeper. My smallest board is a 85 L Real Wind and that I may get to use in MI as can use up to a 5.8 sail on it. Have a 100 L real wind too I'm keeping. Wave sails I bought used from northwave, so great loss there. First thing to buy in MI will be a 6.4. The new sails are much more efficient now so don't mind getting some new stuff. I plan on traveling in MI to where it's windy and not wait for the wind to come to me. I learned to windsurf when I lived in Kalamazoo 25 years ago and have sailed lake mi. Am moving back to be near family again AND will bring wind!
