...gale warning in effect from noon today to 10 pm edt this
evening...
the national weather service in cleveland has issued a gale
warning...which is in effect from noon today to 10 pm edt this
evening.
west to southwest winds of 10 to 20 knots will increase to 35
knots on the lake later this morning. the gusty winds will
continue until early evening when a cold front moves south across
the lake. the winds will diminish just before the front arrives
this evening and then become northwest at 15 to 25 knots.
waves will build during the morning hours and remain hazardous through
this evening.

We arrived at Mitchell's Bay around 11:30 rigged up with a 5.0 and ventured out on a 85 ltr board did a few runs but not feeling totally powered came back in and traded up to a 100 ltr board. Back out and now in the zone we sailed till around 4 well powered and comfortable. Brooke, myself and four other guys kiting good day but quite cool feeling. Note the first pic I can touch bottom there about waist deep all over kinda like a mini Avon sound and small waves similar to Avon as well. Check out the attatched pics. Yes the toe is feeling much better now, but back, to booties yech!!!!

Of course the camera flatens the waves even more than actual but it is pretty flat and very shallow hence very safe when the water temp goes dangerously low but the air temps becon to us, like occasionally in late Nov or early Dec.
