Brian---if they kick in a wave yes I will usually paddle in on it. However most of the ore carriers like the Algorail do not push in any waves. There are a few that do like the Salties with their tear drop shaped hulls. The camera is a Canon 12 megapixel point and shoot. I take it out in a dry bag then pull it out for the shot as I straddle the board.
