Windsurfing & Stand-Up Paddleboarding in Michigan
Hi all just returned from a trip to El Yaque. This was my fifth time to this destination. Wind conditions were not as good this year but still had some good time on the water; also got to try a SUP and of course we all attempted to kill a liver.
Stayed at the El Yaque Beach Hotel directly above the Vela rental outlet. Smallest sail for the week was a 6.2 Neil Pryde and a 92 ltr. board. Usually you can count on numerous 5.0 days and much smaller boards but the weather was pretty funky this year; i guess it has been for months.
Prices are still very reasonable and the people are really friendly; it would be much easier if the extent of my spanish extended beyond dose cervazez senor but we always manage to get by.
The attached head cam video was a first attempt by a new friend and avid windsurfer Russ. Hopefully some pics to follow.
Looking forward to an early spring and hope to see some of you on the water.
Brooke
