Hi Craig,
Welcome to MI Windsurfing. Unfortunately, I don't know of any shops with WS'ing rentals, never mind on-the-beach rentals. I think you can rent SUP's at a couple places. You can also demo some gear with the Michigan Demo Tour (See Mike Wahl in this forum). If anyone else knows, please chime in.
