Brian, (Subject: Fall Hatteras 2011 trip)

Thanks,  There was a lot of destruction visible in Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo. We were not able to rent the Salvo house on the sound.  The waves from the sound pounded for 12 hours on the back side of Hurricane Irene.  The houses looked okay but the water wicked up the walls (insulation) from the bottom floor and some of the ceilings were falling in.  Black mole becomes a concern and lots of inside construction needed. The outsides of the houses looked in good shape except for the pools and LP (Liquid Propane) which floated away.  BTW, There were lots of mosquitoes!!

Jim,

Have fun in Hatteras.  Say hello to Andy McKinney from the MI crowd.

Don:  Try some rainX on your sunglasses too!  They recommend caution because it can potentially hurt some plastics, but I've been putting rainX on my sunglasses and my camera housing for years without any problems.

Hi Don,

Thanks for watching.  The Rain-X can be applied to the glass lens on the plastic water resistive housining.  Did not apply directly to camera lens.  You can replace the lens on the GoPro plastic housing if it did not work out.

I will be heading down to Cape Hatteras for a Fall trip next week.  US 12 just opended up on Monday:) I will miss the great wind in Michigan.  Have fun.

Hey guys looked like you had really good turnout! Just wondering if your applying the Rain-x directly to the lens or to a filter over top of it. Great results though. Also good job on the video in general. Looks like some more comming or way tomorrow and Saturday as well!
